On July 6, 2015, the City of Ithaca introduced significant new changes in the way residents and visitors would pay to park in Ithaca. The changes were made in order to make parking more versatile, convenient, accessible, and efficient. Read on to learn more about the rationale behind the changes to Ithaca’s parking program.

This past year, the City of Ithaca installed 23 new on-street parking pay stations bringing the combined total pay stations in Ithaca to 48 stations in downtown and Collegetown metered parking zones.

Street parking is available and ideal for residents and visitors running errands or needing to park for less than 2 hours at a time in downtown Ithaca and Collegetown.
Parking garages are the most affordable way to park your vehicle by the hour and all day. Garages in Ithaca and Collegetown also offer monthly permit passes too. You can even renew your permit for one of the City of Ithaca garages online: Renew Now!
Parking is FREE on the streets and in downtown garages (Green St., Seneca St. and Cayuga St.) on Saturdays and Sundays except when special event parking rates apply. Parking is also FREE during the week from 8:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday – Friday. Dryden Rd. Garage charges for parking 24/7, including weekends, except holidays.
